On April 26, 2006, South Asian Health Project (SAH Project) partnered with Asian Pacific Islander Coalition on HIV/AIDS (APICHA) to host Healthy Living Campaign for South Asians: A Forum on Sexual Health. The forum discussed opportunities and barriers for sexual health initiatives in the South Asian community, bringing together multiple stakeholders, advocates, researchers, policy makers, and providers.

Forum Objectives

  • Reduce stigma around sexual health through education and advocacy;
  • Initiate dialogue with diverse stakeholders on sexual health and HIV/AIDS-related community needs; and
  • Present three breakthrough studies on South Asian sexual health, HIV/AIDS and other STIs that can lead to increasing advocacy, resources, and social and policy change.
